WaumbaLand activities available on line at www.facebook.com/fpcoh, and join our Waumba Zoom meeting each Monday at 6:15 PM. Just text the word “Waumba” to 75787 and we’ll keep you up to date on all things Waumba including when we will be regathering in person.

At First Presbyterian, we love kids, and during our WaumbaLand worship at 10 AM, we give an opportunity for both kids and adults to experience God’s amazing love together before going off for activities designed especially for them.

As worship begins, your children will join you as we begin with high energy, kid-friendly worship songs and the point and story of the day. After this 15 minute worship experience, our pastor, Kennedy will invite all the kids to enter into our specially designed magical children’s area, WaumbaLand. (By the way, Waumba is a Swahili word for God, and we use it because it’s such a fun word for God!) The adults can join their kids in WaumbaLand, which is right next door to the main worship area or stay for an interactive Bible study with Kennedy based on the message he will deliver at the classic worship at 11 AM.

In WaumbaLand, we have developed an engaging and interactive experience for children from three years old through elementary with discussion and hands-on activities. Most every week, your child(ren) will get the opportunity to color and create a picture book based on the story. And through the power of lamination, they can bring it home each week as their very own personalized story book!

And we take safety seriously at First Church. All of our dedicated volunteer staff have gone through an extensive background check, and have regular training to ensure that your kids are always safe and cared for.

For children under 3 years of age, we have a fully staffed nursery, right off the church lobby. And if you want to stay in the nursery with your child, we pipe the Bible study into there as well so that you can care for your child and still be connected to what is going on in the sanctuary.

So come out to WaumbaLand worship at First Presbyterian! Your kids will love it, and so will you!
